Las Gaviotas, (The Seagulls), is a lovely part of the promenade in Benalmadena Costa, situated midway between Bil-Bil castle and the Marina. There are some lovely apartments to rent in the area, all with a sea view, together with more than a dozen bars and restaurants offering the opportunity to eat,d rink and be merry whilst enjoying a lovely sea view.
All the bars and restaurants n the complex can be accessed directly from the beach so they are great for taking a break from sunbathing or playing in the sea. A mix of English, European and Spanish experiences with prices rather cheap for beachfront locations. The Chiringuito on the beach is also a fine place to dine but as always with beach-side bars the wallet can take a hit for the pleasure of being sat on the beach rather than 4 yards away.
Palm 5 – Wigan Bar – Mariners – Mare Nostrum – Cheers – Lime & Lemon – Benys – Drunken Sailor – Panorama – Bacchus – Lounge at Pinocchios – AJs Lounge and of course the Chiringuito Las Gaviotas, together offer such a wide range of experiences you might think it is a mini village in itself. Try one of Sue’s T-Bone Steaks at Bar La Isla (Wigan Bar), they are special, and both the Lounge and the Drunken sailor are well worth the steps you climb to the next level due not only to the great food and service but the incredible sun trap these bars enjoy.
